Tracking another hot and humid afternoon

storms this mornin

THURSDAY: Temperatures are on the rise into the upper 80s to around 90 with a heat index near 100. A few spot storms are possible by late afternoon/early evening.

TONIGHT: We'll stay quiet overnight under mostly clear skies as lows fall to near 70.

EXTENDED: Another warm one looks to be around the corner on Friday with highs back in the low 90's. Another complex of storms will get going to our northwest and threaten the area. It will be another one of these overnight lines but looks like it will move in closer to Saturday morning at this point. These storms don't look like they'll keep us from getting steaming to start off the weekend, however. Highs on Saturday will reach the low 90's again but a frontal boundary will move us back into the upper 80s Sunday. The humidity will be slightly more tolerable, too, Sunday and Monday. But we're back to being hot and humid from Tuesday on.
