SUNDAY UPDATES: New COVID-19 cases in Boone, Cole Counties

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 7:00 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

The department reported 101 active cases of the virus. There has been a total of 353 reported in the county.

The Cole County Health Department also reported new cases of the virus Sunday.

The department has reported a total of 73 cases.

There were 12 active cases on Sunday.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported new cases of Coronavirus Sunday.

The state reported a total of 20,575 cases of the virus Sunday, and increase of 314 from Saturday.

One new COVID-19 related death was reported Sunday, bringing the death toll in the state up to 997.

The state reported 412 people were in the hospital with the virus on Sunday.
