SUNDAY UPDATES: Cases of COVID-19 increase in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 8:15 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 15,983 cases of COVID-19 in Missouri on Sunday.

At least 879 deaths have been reported in the state related to the virus.

At least 34,292 have been tested for the virus.

ORIGINAL: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 214 cases of COVID-19 Sunday, an increase from 211 cases on Saturday.

The department reported 39 active cases of the virus in the county.

The health department reports 173 people have been released from isolation in Boone County.
