SUNDAY UPDATES: Active cases of COVID-19 lower in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 8:30 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 14,553 cases of COVID-19 in Missouri Sunday.

The department reported 809 deaths related to the virus around the state.

At least 236,755 people have been tested for Coronavirus.

ORIGINAL: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported 42 active cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, down from 43 on Saturday.

The county has had 189 cases of the virus.

Two people in Boone County have died as a result of the virus.

The Cole County Health Department reported one active case of the virus out of 57 total Sunday.
