Driver arrested after Callaway County chase

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Authorities arrested a driver after a chase in Callaway County on Friday.

Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism said the pursuit started before 12:30 p.m. south of Holts Summit.

A deputy spotted a wanted felon in a vehicle with improper registration. Chism said the pursuit went on numerous state and county roads near Holts Summit, Wainwright and Tebbetts.

The chase ended just before 1 p.m. at County Road 440 near State Road BB. Authorities said the vehicle stopped and the driver got out and was arrested.

Authorities did not identify the person arrested but said more information would be released at a later time.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol helped with local troopers and a helicopter.
