Chase involving multiple agencies ends in arrest

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A chase involving several law enforcement agencies ended in an arrest Friday night.

According to a spokesman with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boone County deputies were responding to a disturbance in Hartsburg just before 6 p.m.

A deputy pursued a vehicle involved in the disturbance after it was spotted at Brown School Road.

An officer with the Columbia Police Department deployed spikes near Cosmo Park before the vehicle got onto westbound Interstate 70.

Authorities said the vehicle later hit spikes deployed by a trooper and crashed around 6:15 p.m. Officials said the suspect was arrested "without incident." Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene, but it's unclear if anyone was injured.

Details about the initial disturbance in Hartsburg were not immediately available. Authorities have not identified the person arrested.

ABC 17 News has contacted the police department and Sheriff's Office for more information.
