Cole County authorities seek information on missing man

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Cole County Sheriff's Department is asking the public for help finding a man who went missing this week.

The department says Ronald J. Kappel, 54, was last seen Monday afternoon at his Jefferson City home. Kappel's truck was found abandoned the next day on Highway 50/63 near East McCarty Street, the sheriff's department said.

Kappel is white with a medium build, weighing about 130 pounds. His is about 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair, hazel eyes and a goatee, the sheriff's department said.
