First responders recognize health care workers in Cole County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.

First responders gathered outside Jefferson City hospitals to recognize health care workers Thursday night.

Members from the Jefferson City police and fire departments as well as Cole County EMS paid tribute to workers at SSM Health St. Mary's and Capitol Region by cheering, honking and flashing their car lights.

The tribute lasted several minutes and took place during a shift change at the hospitals.
