No one hurt after shots fired in central Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police said no one was hurt after gunshots went off in the central part of the city.

Police responded to a call of shots being heard in the 700 block of McBaine Avenue on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Officers found evidence of gunfire, CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts said, but no one was hurt.

Officers, some of which wore face masks in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, taped off and searched an area on McBaine Ave. for evidence.

ABC 17 News saw one vehicle with a bullet hole in its windshield.
