Highway patrol searching for male in Missouri River

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is searching for a male in his 30s in the Missouri River.

According to the patrol, around 11 a.m. a trooper saw what appeared to be a motorist assist on the Missouri River Bridge.

As the trooper pulled up to the vehicle a man jumped over the side of the bridge. He briefly resurfaced but then disappeared.

Authorities have searched for him on land, in water, and by air.

The man was wearing a tan shirt and camo pants.

Anyone with sighting information is being asked to call 911 or *55.

The man's family has been notified.
