AMBER alert canceled after Hillsdale child found safe

HILLSDALE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Update:
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has canceled an AMBER alert that was issued Wednesday night for a possible child abduction in the St. Louis area.

The agency reported that the child was found safe and the suspect was in custody.

No other information was released.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an AMBER alert Wednesday night for a potential abduction in Hillsdale, which is in the St. Louis area.

According to the alert, someone saw the suspect, Andre Eaton Hill, 38, place six-month old Jerrell Hill into a trash bag.

Officials said Hill took the child from a home on Erick Avenue. They believe Hill may be headed to an address on Laredo Avenue in St. Louis County.

Authorities believe Hill could be in a 2012 black Toyota Camry with a Missouri license plate that reads DL6C3Z.

The alert described Hill as six feet tall and weighing 196 pounds.
