Cole County puts old Health Department building up for sale

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Cole County Commission voted Tuesday to sell a property on Industrial Drive that previously housed the county's health department.

The department operated out of 1616 Industrial Drive for 19 years before moving in 2018 to its new office down the street at 3400 W. Truman Blvd.

"We don't have any use for it right now," Cole County Presiding Commissioner Sam Bushman said. "We're property rich at the moment."

The building is now on the market -- the county decided against retaining the services of a real estate agent.
