Columbia rollover crash backs up traffic as concert ends

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -- A crash in Columbia shut down part of Providence Road late Friday night.

Authorities responded to South Providence Road at Mick Deaver Drive shortly before 11 p.m. Columbia police responded and University of Missouri police were directing traffic in the area.

Authorities at the scene said two people were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The road was back open by 11:35 p.m.

ABC 17 crews at the scene saw three cars involved in the crash, with one completely off the road. Authorities confirmed it was a rollover crash.

A concert was scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Mizzou Arena. Crews saw traffic getting backed up at around 11 p.m. as the concert was getting out.

ABC 17 News contacted police for more information about the incident.
