Surveillance footage captures shots fired incident in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 1600 block of St. Mary's Boulevard just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Surveillance footage obtained by ABC17 News shows a person running and holding a gun and yelling, "Hey boy... Get over here!"

ABC17 News crews saw officers questioning witnesses on Saturday around 5 p.m.

Several neighbors told ABC17 News it's usually a quiet neighborhood, and were surprised to hear there was gunfire Saturday morning.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the gunfire, or if anybody has been taken into custody following the incident.

ABC17 News has reached out to the Jefferson City Police Department several times, and the department said more information will be available at a later time.
