Mizzou basketball drops road game to Alabama

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Mizzou basketball team had no answer to Alabama's high-powered offense as the Tide defeated the Tigers, 88-74.

With the loss, Mizzou has lost two straight games and falls to 9-8 (1-4 SEC).

The Tigers set a new school record for most free throws in a row, going 31 for 31 from the line. However, they struggled scoring everywhere else on the floor by shooting just 31 percent.

Dru Smith led the Tigers with 18 points and six rebounds. Meanwhile, John Petty led all players with 20 points for the Crimson Tide.

Mizzou returns to the Mizzou Arena to face Texas A&M on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.
