No one hurt after grain truck crashes into train in Mexico

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

No one was hurt after a grain truck hit a train in Mexico on Thursday morning.

The collision happened around 9:05 a.m. in the 2000 block of W. Boulevard St.

According to the Mexico Public Safety Department, Garp P. Riedel, 75, of Centralia, hit the train when he tried to drive around a parked Ozark Valley Railroad truck.

The driver of the truck was trying to stop traffic while the train went through a nearby railroad crossing.

Police said the grain truck and one train car were minorly damaged in the crash.
