A man is being held in the Randolph County Justice Center after a standoff with authorities.

According to a news release, the Moberly Police Department received a tip Saturday that indicated the location of Daniel Johnston, who was wanted on a felony warrant for domestic assault.

Police responded to the tip just after 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of S Morley St.

According to authorities, when they got to the scene, Johnston quickly opened and shut the door of his apartment. Police then attempted to make contact but were unsuccessful.
