Chilly and cloudy to close out the week

TONIGHT: Cloudy and cool with lows falling into the mid-30s. A few showers possible south of I-44.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy, and much cooler with highs in the low 40s. Evening flurries possible, mainly north and east.

EXTENDED: Any snow showers quickly move east early Saturday morning, not giving us much time to accumulate snow. A few light snow showers will be possible through mid-morning with clouds decreasing through the day Saturday. Highs only top out in the upper 30s. Southwesterly winds pick up quite a bit Sunday with gusts up to 30 mph, bumping temperatures back into the low 50s. Next week, there will be a few chances of precipitation, but he most organized looks to be rainfall by Thursday, potentially lasting into Friday AM. The overall temperature trend keeps us above average through next week
