Woman in custody after Columbia car crash

Columbia Police on Friday took one woman into custody after accusing her of leaving the scene of a Columbia crash.

The crash happened around 2:30 Friday afternoon near Grindstone Parkway and South Bearfield Road.

Police say they saw a damaged black Jeep Liberty Sport driving down Nifong Boulevard and pulled over the vehicle near Santiago Drive and Nifong.

That's where officers took the driver into custody.

There were no reported injuries in connection with the crash.
