COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police are seeking two people in the robbery of a Steak 'n Shake restaurant during Sunday's snowstorm.
Officers were sent to the restaurant on West Worley Street a little before 6 p.m. Sunday when a man and woman displayed a handgun at the register and demanded money after eating their meal, the Columbia Police Department said in a news release.
Police described the robbers as a man in his 30s, about 300 pounds and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a goatee and a woman in her 30s with dark red hair and black eyeglasses. Police said the man had black hair but he appeared to be balding in a surveillance photo.
The robbers drove west from the store toward North Stadium Boulevard in a dark Jeep SUV. The man was wearing a black jacket and gray shirt and the woman was wearing red leggings, black boots and a dark brown jacket, police said.
