Columbia shooting survivor booked into Boone County jail
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man that survived a September shooting is now in the Boone County jail on felony drug charges.
ABC 17 News previously reported that officers said they found drugs on Sam Baldwin IV while treating his wounds after the Sept. 13 shooting in central Columbia. Baldwin was injured and 18-year-old Nadria Wright died.
Columbia police said Baldwin was the target of a gang-related shooting on Forest Ave., and that Wright was an "uninvolved" person in the incident.
A judge issued a no bond warrant for Baldwin's arrest on Sept. 24. Court records show that a warrant was served Wednesday in the case.
Javion Lawhorn-Wallace faces felony murder and assault charges for the shooting.
Boone County Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Shelton told ABC 17 News in November that no other charges against Baldwin related to the shooting had been referred to his office.
