Autopsy reveals Gasconade County death was accidental drowning

GASCONADE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The death of a man in Gasconade County has been ruled accidental, according to authorities.

The Gasconade County Sheriff's Office posted details about the autopsy results on Facebook on Wednesday.

Officials say an autopsy determined Bernard Mahacek's death was an accidental drowning.

Authorities found Mahacek's body in a clay pit near Rosebud on Oct. 31.

Authorities said hypertensive heart disease may also have contributed to the death.
