Natural cover fire burns several acres in Sunrise Beach

SUNRISE BEACH, Mo.

Firefighters with the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District worked a natural cover fire Tuesday night.

In a Facebook post, the district said the fire covered about eight acres.

The district said that several other agencies assisted. Those agencies included the Mid-County Fire Protection District, Gravois Fire Protection District and Osage Beach Fire Protection District.

The post reminded residents to get a burn permit through the district's website and to extinguish flames before nightfall.
