Injured bald eagle recovering at rehabilitation center

CLINTON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office posted an update on its Facebook page about the condition of a bald eagle that may have been hit by a vehicle.

The department said Tuesday the bald eagle did not show any fractures. The eagle will be going to a rehabilitation center to recover.

Deputies found the eagle on Highway 116 on between Lathrop and Plattsburg after a number of people called.

The Sheriff's Office said a tree service and a couple of other police departments helped capture the eagle. The bird was given to the area's Missouri Department of Conservation agent to get medical attention.
