Large police presence on Southridge Drive in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

There is a large police presence in the 2300 block of Southridge Drive in Jefferson City. Police have part of the road closed.

ABC 17 News crews on scene saw crime scene tape up in the area and six police vehicles.

ABC 17 News has contacted the Jefferson City Police Department for more information but is waiting to hear back.

The scene came a couple hours after a weapons offense on W. McCarty Street. It's unclear if the two investigations are related.
