Camden County authorities bust marijuana grow operation

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Camden County Sheriff's Office and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group busted a marijuana grow operation in the Climax Springs area on Friday.

Authorities arrested James B Garr, 56, of Climax Springs after they found hundreds of marijuana plants at the property on Bollinger Creek Road, according to a news release from the Camden County Sheriff's Office. Law enforcement found 291 flowering marijuana plants and 140 starter plants.

Authorities also found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia, the release said.

Garr was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said. He is being held in the Camden County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
