FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Middle School students had to move to new locations on Friday due to a sulfur smell in the building.

Maintenance staff believes it identified the source as a faulty piece of equipment, but the building must air out, said Fulton Public Schools spokeswoman Karen Snethen.

Sixth grade students will go to Bush Elementary, seventh grade students will go to McIntire Elementary and eighth grade students will go to Fulton High School for the majority of the day, Snethen said.

Students will start returning to the school at 1 p.m., Snethen said. Friday night sporting events will go on as scheduled, she said.

Snethen said all students were safe.
