New York man arrested, accused of having almost 100 pounds of weed

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a Jamestown, New York, man on Tuesday after he allegedly had nearly 100 pounds of marijuana in his car.

Brett A. Shafer, 57, was arrested in Cooper County on suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

A trooper pulled Shafer over for speeding and found about 5 grams of cocaine and 96 pounds of marijuana in the car, MSHP said on Twitter.
