No one injured in Jefferson City house fire

Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 900 block of Jackson Street

The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a fire at a home in the 900 block of Jackson Street on Tuesday night.

Firefighters said a passerby saw smoke before 5 p.m. Officials said there were flames in a window and smoke coming from the roof. Crews began clearing the scene around 6:30 p.m.

Firefighters said no one was home at the time and three pets that were inside were safe.
