Workers with Three Rivers Electric Cooperative made repairs at Donnie Braun and Sons Auto Repair Monday.

Co-op employees repaired electrical infrastructure at the automotive shop that was destroyed by a tornado. Allen Braun, co-owner of Donnie Braun and Sons, said employees have been working out of a temporary building since May 22.

The work is in preparation for construction work on the new building that starts within the next month. Braun said the new facility won't open until next year.

According to Braun, the rebuilding process has been long.

"It's a slow and tedious process," Braun said. "(We're) doing everything we did before the tornado, and a lot more,"

Three Rivers workers also made repairs elsewhere in Mid-Missouri Monday. Crews changed poles in Vienna, installed new lights at a business in Freeburg and did underground maintenance.
