Crews battle fire at Boone County home
BOONE COUNTY, Mo.
Boone County fire crews were battling a fire at a home Monday morning on Mt. Zion Church Road.

Fire crews responded to the scene around 10 a.m. on Monday in 9700 block of Mt. Zion Road.
One person was home at the time of the fire, said Captain Martina Pounds with the Boone County Fire Protection District.
Four animals were also inside the house at the time of the fire, and the resident and animals were able to get out of the home safely, Pounds said.
Fire officials said the fire broke out at the back of the home, near the deck. The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
