Vaping devices now accepted at national DEA prescription drug take back event

Missouri Public Safety Director Sandy Karsten announced Thursday the first prescription drug take back day for state employees.

The event comes just two days before the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s 18th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Saturday’s event will, for the first time, accept vaping devices and cartridges at the drop-off sites, as long as the batteries are removed.

The DEA’s event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
