Man flees from police in underwear

A man is charged after a bag found filled with drugs was found in an apartment at a complex the 300 block of West Ashley Street in Jefferson City.

Police say they responded to the scene around noon on Oct. 10 for a report of a weapons offense, with witnesses saying there was a gunshot. According to court documents, multiple tenants told police people ran into one of the apartments. The tenant of that apartment told police Bryon Williams was in there sleeping just before the incident happened, but didn’t know where he went.

Court documents say moments later they saw Williams run from the building in nothing but his underwear. In the apartment Williams had been sleeping in, officers found a red-zip style bag a loaded .45 pistol, 79.6 grams of meth, 98.7 grams of marijuana and more than $1,200 in cash.
