Lebanon police searching for vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run

Lebanon police are searching for the vehicle involved in a deadly pedestrian hit-and-run Saturday.

According to a news release, police went to the intersection of North Highway 5 and North Adams Street just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 12-year-old girl had been hit by a vehicle and was transported to the hospital where she later died of her injuries.

Police said the vehicle that hit the girl left the scene and was described as a black Chevrolet truck.

Lebanon police are asking anyone who sees a vehicle matching the description to call local law enforcement.

The crash is being investigated by the Lebanon Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team.
