Second suspect charged in Jefferson City shooting

A second person was charged on Friday in connection with a Jefferson City shooting and possible narcotics deal.

Keiron Robinson was a passenger in the vehicle and allegedly shot at another car with a rifle, according to court documents. The assault occurred in the 200 block of Belair Drive on Wednesday, and a Jefferson City Police Department officer tried to pull the car over after the shooting. Robinson and the driver of the car, Raeqwon R. Morris, got out of the car and ran from police.

Police arrested Morris, but Robinson got away.

Robinson was charged with first-degree assault, shooting at a motor vehicle, armed criminal action, first-degree property damage and delivery of marijuana.

Morris was charged Thursday with first-degree assault, aiding a person shooting from a vehicle, first-degree property damage, armed criminal action and dealing marijuana.

Police were able to contact a victim from the vehicle that was being shot at, who denied being involved in the selling of narcotics. The victim said there is an ongoing argument between him and Robinson about a relationship.

Police were still searching for Robinson.
