Two injured after crash on westbound I-70 near Missouri River Bridge

A crash blocked westbound I-70 near the Missouri River Bridge in Cooper County late Monday night.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. after a 2006 Honda Civic hydroplaned and hit the center wall on the bridge.

The car was then hit by a tractor-trailer, driven by 31-year-old Asror Abshukrov of Cincinnati, which was hit by another tractor-trailer, driven by 38-year-old Maurice Carie of Indiana.

29-year-olds Kyle and Norrian Norton of Nebraska, were taken to University Hospital with injuries following the crash.

All four people involved were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
