Rounds of storms to begin tonight, severe weather possible
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday morning with an active weather pattern setting up again into this week. Rainfall totals could exceed 2″-5″ within the next 7 days.
TONIGHT: Storms will increase in coverage from the northwest after 10PM. These storms will last well into the overnight hours, through the Tuesday morning commute. With already saturated soils, heavy rainfall tonight is likely to lead to flash flooding in spots for the Tuesday morning commute. Temperatures fall into the low 60s. Be mindful as you may need to adjust your route in the morning!
TUESDAY: Morning showers exit before midday, with some dry time in the afternoon. Another round of strong storms is possible by evening, bringing the potential for hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. Temperatures reach the low 70s.
EXTENDED: Heavy rain continues Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, continuing the flood risk. Depending on how long clouds and morning rain sticks around, we could have another round of strong to severe storms late on Wednesday into Thursday morning. Hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain will continue to be a threat. Rain moves out Thursday, and we begin to dry out by the weekend.
