Mexico Public Safety Department investigates two shootings

Police in Mexico, Missouri, have been investigating a pair of shootings since Friday afternoon.

Mexico Public Safety said the first shooting happened around 3:32 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Breckenridge Street.

ABC 17 News was told by police that officers investigated a report of people in two vehicles shooting at each other.

Police said one of the vehicles and a nearby vehicle not involved in the shooting were both damaged by gunfire.

A second shooting was investigated by police around 2:22 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Boulevard Street.

Police said officers were told someone shot at another group of people driving away following an argument.

No damage was found.

The public safety department said no one was hurt in either shooting.

No information regarding arrests or anyone being taken into custody has been released.
