Man crashes dirt bike at Finger Lakes State Park
Boone County fire officials said one man was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries after he crashed his dirt bike on a trail near Peabody Road in Finger Lake State Park just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
According to authorities, the 50-year-old was riding and crashed. His friend was able to call 911, and the trail was easily accessible to emergency crews.
He was taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries. His friend was not hurt.
Boone County firefighters stressed the importance of always having at least one other person with you when you go out on the trails.
