After a stellar weekend, rain & storms to return to MidMO

TONIGHT: The weather will remain quiet into this evening as temperatures slowly fall into the mid 50s. We’ll be staying dry for most of the evening. A weak disturbance is set to track through the regions after midnight which could bring rain and a few storms for the Monday morning commute.

MONDAY: A few showers and a rumble of thunder is possible for the Monday morning commute. You’ll want to have the umbrella out the door. This will move through quickly, between 6-11am. We look to dry out into the early afternoon, but more isolated storms are possible by afternoon. Large hail and strong winds are possible. Highs are in the mid 70s tomorrow.

EXTENDED: Another cold front is set to race across Mid-Missouri late Monday night. This may affect the Tuesday morning commute. By Wednesday a more focused area of precipitation is likely to develop where more strong to severe storms are possible by the afternoon. By Friday we can expect 1-3″ of additional rainfall to have fallen this week.
