LHC Group to take over SSM Health home care and hospice
SSM Health announced on Thursday its plans to sell its home care and hospice ministries in Jefferson City and Mexico, Missouri, to LHC Group, Inc.
The sale will be finalized on June 1. Once the transaction is complete, SSM Health’s home health and hospice ministries will operate as Central Missouri Home Health and Central Missouri Hospice.
LHC Group partners with 350 hospitals around the country, including Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City and MU Health according to a news release sent by SSM Health.
This comes as MU Health is attempting to purchase St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City and Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.
“While the other agreement (with MU Health) is still evolving, we have now signed a definitive agreement with LHC to transfer ownership of our home care and hospice ministries in Jefferson City and Mexico,” said an SSM spokesperson.
