Prosecutors file charges following shooting in northeast Columbia

Charges have been filed against a man following a shooting in northeast Columbia.

Jeffrey T. Tucker, 26, of Columbia, was arrested Friday following an investigation in the 1300 block of Dawn Ridge Road.

Police responded to the home after a shooting was reported around 9:31 a.m., according to court documents.

Tucker is accused of shooting a gun at two men inside a white SUV.

A probable cause statement reveals three bullet holes were discovered in the SUV, but no one was hurt in the shooting.

Police said several bullet casings hidden in a beer can by another person at the home were found.

Tucker is charged with two felony counts of first-degree assault.

A court hearing for Tucker is scheduled in Boone County on May 21.
