Jefferson City street closed due to structure fire
One street was closed in Jefferson City early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in the 500 block of Eastland Drive.
Avoid the 500 block of Eastland Dr crews are on scene of a working Structure Fire.

Crews responded to the scene around 4:45 a.m., and East Miller Street was shut down due to crews working the fire.

When crews arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the basement area of the home. Fire crews were able to control the fire in 45 minutes.
All residents of the home were able to get out of the home safely. The home suffered serious smoke damage, and there was fire damage to the basement and garage.
Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire.
