Spotty rain chances possible as we head into the work week

MONDAY: You’ll want to keep the umbrella handy as you’re headed out the door in the morning. Some of the thundershowers tomorrow morning may feature some small hail as well. These storms will very likely be below severe limits. The rest of the day will be dry and cloudy before another round of showers builds back in after dark. With southerly winds temperatures will rise towards 80.

TONIGHT: Under cloudy skies temperatures drop into the mid 50s. Spot showers are possible south of I-70 through tonight, but most areas stay dry.

EXTENDED: Another bubble of low pressure looks to arrive later Tuesday afternoon. It will have plenty of moisture with it, so clouds will be likely, but atmospheric lift, which helps generate rainfall, will be weakening as it approaches. We can expect some light rain showers late morning into the afternoon Tuesday for areas south of I-70. Some spotty rain chances are possible Wednesday. Temperatures will be back in the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday before we competely dry out and warm up by Thursday. Into the weekend another system will bring us the chance for spotty showers.
