Dry air making a tough go for rain showers, coverage will remain very spotty
THIS AFTERNOON: After early morning showers and storms WELL north of I-70 much of the rest of Mid-Missouri has been bone dry. We can expect partly cloudy skies to stick around into this afternoon as temperatures steadily rise into the 70s. Another cold front will track through this evening… spot shower or two is possible but after the spoof our weather data made for this morning, most of us will remain dry.
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy skies will continue into the early evening, steadily increasing overnight. Temperatures will fall back into the low 50s out the door Tuesday morning.
EXTENDED: Another quick wave of low pressure will ride into southern Missouri tomorrow. The latest data has been waning on any precipitation making it into the area. Spot showers are possible, especially south of highway 50 near the Lake of the Ozarks but many mid-Missourians will be spared much if any rain Tuesday. Temperatures remain comfortable through the weekend before another chance for rain arrives Saturday evening.
