Beautiful Easter weekend unfolds for Mid-Missouri
SATURDAY: You’ll want a jacket this morning with temperatures on the chilly side of things. That will improve toward this afternoon, with temperatures getting back into the low 70s. Winds from the last few days moving in drier air will lead to a nice feeling afternoon.
TONIGHT: Those winds will shift direction overnight, so despite clear skies, temperatures will only make it down to near 50. Moisture will be increasing overnight, but the effects won’t be felt until later on Sunday.
EXTENDED: That added moisture will help introduce clouds back into the viewing area later in the afternoon, but we’ll stay dry Sunday with temperatures making it into the low 80s. Shower chances increase starting on Monday and stick with us through the middle of the week. Our best chance at picking up rain looks to be Tuesday and Wednesday, with some thunderstorms possible, but nothing severe is expected. This stubborn frontal system moves out into Thursday but is quickly replaced by another toward next weekend. Check back with ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
