Four Jefferson City businesses caught selling alcohol to minors

On four separate occassions this week, employees of different Jefferson City businesses sold alcohol to a woman who identified as 18-years-old.

Jefferson City police officers performed compliance checks on 16 business that sell alcohol and all but four properly turned the minor away.

These four businesses improperly sold alcohol to the 18-year-old:

Break Time, 627 Clark Avenue We B Smokin, 2215 Missouri Boulevard Alccobacco, 1904 Missouri Boulevard Bee Line Station, 1100 Missouri Boulevard

The employees that sold the the alcohol to the minor were cited under city ordinance.

“We must take every opportunity to educate those in positions that affect our youth and their safety,” JCPD Chief Roger Schroeder said in a statement.
