New LU curator’s board president addresses board’s philosophy
Before entering into a closed session Thursday morning, Lincoln University’s Board of Curators administered the oath of office to four members.
The board also swore in three members into new leadership positions, including Frank Logan Sr. as its new president.
“As the oath indicated, I will make sure that nothing I do brings anything but a positive approach to the mission of this board of curators,” Logan said.
In a 70 second statement, the new board president spoke about the philosophy of the board under his leadership.
“Our tenure on this board will never be defined by a single issue,” Logan said. “Our tenure will be defined by collectively all of the issues that we resolve to make a great university even greater.”
The statement comes as LU leadership is embroiled in legal tensions with its former foundation after a sudden schism.
The board entered into closed session shortly before 9 a.m.
