Columbia police find shell casings at 5th and Broadway

Columbia police confirmed Saturday night that they responded to a shooting Saturday morning just before 2:30 p.m.

Spokesperson Steve Sapp told ABC 17 News in an email that officers were in the CPD garage when they heard shots.

They responded to the area of 5th Street and Walnut Street, eventually finding shell casings near the intersection of 5th Street and Broadway Street.

Sapp said there were no reported injuries or property damage.

ABC 17 News followed up and asked if there was anyone taken into custody. Sapp said at this time he had no additional information.
