Police investigate shooting on Elleta Boulevard

Columbia police were investigating after they found evidence of a shooting on Elleta Boulevard Wednesday evening.

Officers originally responded to the call of shots heard near Wilson’s Total Fitness on Rangeline Street at 10:15 p.m.. However, when officers arrived, they found the incident took place on Elleta Street, but a vehicle involved had traveled to the parking lot of Wilson’s Total Fitness, said CPD spokesman Jeff Pitts.

Officers found numerous shell casings in the 1000 block of Elleta. CPD continues to investigate the incident.
